Aquatics Class Descriptions

 

Aqua Fit (shallow water):  This shallow water class is a non-stop aerobic

challenge.  We focus on strength, toning, cardiovascular conditioning, range of

motion, and flexibility.  Although the class is fast-paced and athletic, it is great

for EVERYONE.  This class is highly recommended for anyone interested in

cross training.

 

Digging Deep (deep water):  Using three basic movements, see how intense

you can make your workout.  By changing speed, range of motion, and direction,

we can turn a simple chain of movements into a challenging workout event!

       

Strength and Conditioning:  A 45-minute class that begins with warm-up and

moves right into body alignment, then proceeds to strengthen and condition the

body by utilizing aqua bells and noodles.  A final stretch will complete the class. 

Held in the shallow end of the big pool.

 

 

Please Note: Classes have been designed to focus on different levels of fitness,

however we encourage you to join us in any class and challenge your own level

of fitness. You do not have to know how to swim and you will be amazed at the

results.... See you in the POOL.

AFAP "Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program"

(Formerly known as "Twinges in the Hinges")

 

This one-hour class is designed to focus on the joints and muscles of the body,

while increasing ROM (range of motion) and flexibility.  All levels are welcome and

we encourage everyone to work at their own pace.

Same class with a longer endurance segment.
